Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused challenges in access to health services. Universities, as part of social outreach, have developed intervention projects, which require monitoring.

Objective: To evaluate the satisfaction of participants in the Teleobstetricia project provided during the COVID-19 pandemic by Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, in Peru, 2020-2021.

Methods: A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out. The sample consisted of 298 participants; of these, 191 received virtual care in sexual and reproductive health, 66 in obstetric psychoprophylaxis and 41 in teleorientation. A valid and reliable online questionnaire was applied; the data were treated with descriptive statistics.

Results: Globally, more than 80 % of participants had a high level of satisfaction. Regarding the sexual and reproductive health sessions, greater dissatisfaction was observed in “compliance with the established schedule" and "ease of registration for the session". In the obstetric psychoprophylaxis sessions, greater dissatisfaction was observed in safety indicators such as "respect for privacy", "adequate time to answer doubts" and "detailed development of content". In teleorientation, the aspects with the greatest dissatisfaction were "the used materials" and "usefulness of the content".

Conclusions: The satisfaction of the participants in the "Teleobstetricia" project was high; however, there are aspects to improve in care. It is suggested to continue access to health education through a virtual platform as part of the university's social responsibility.
