Abstract

Introduction: Family violence overflows the health sector, which requires the theoretical, methodological and practical development of systems of actions for its treatment in primary care.

Objective: To design an educational program on domestic violence, aimed at families with preschool children.

Methods: A qualitative study was carried out in the family doctor's office # 1, in the town of Cuatro Caminos belonging to Policlínico Docente Mártires del 10 de abril, of Corralillo Municipality, in the period between July and December 2021. Based on a previous characterization in another research, an educational program was designed and then evaluated through an expert questionnaire.

Results: The designed educational program consisted of a total of 60 hours with 10 activities on topics related to domestic violence in childhood. Once the educational program was designed, a group of experts was selected for its valuation, all of whom assessed the proposal as pertinent and feasible.

Conclusions: The proposal of an educational program on domestic violence aimed at families with preschool children will allow raising the level of family information, which will have an impact on the reduction of domestic violence and will provide health professionals with a working tool to educate the population.
