Abstract

Introduction: Social and intersectoral participation is channeled in family medicine through the integrated community work group (GTCI), the objective of the work is to propose the role of the family doctor and nurse in this group

Methods: Qualitative, descriptive study, documentary analysis is used, and the experiences of the GTCI of the Seville constituency, a neighborhood in transformation, of the Haydeé Santamaría Popular Council, Josué País Polyclinic, Santiago de Cuba.

Conclusions: The binomial doctor and nurse plays an essential role in building community well-being, as health is inextricably linked to well-being. The GTCI alleviates the doctor's workload by distributing tasks and involving social actors in solving health problems.
