Abstract

Introduction: Dispensarization is the fundamental cornerstone for the organization of the family physician's work from which the strategy of outpatient care of the individual in the community is deployed.

Objective: To analyze the dispensarization process of middle-aged women with climacteric symptoms.

Methods: An analytical observational study with a qualitative design was carried out to analyze the process of dispensarization of middle-aged women with climacteric symptoms. During the research, different techniques and methods were used for the construction of the definition. They were historical-logical analysis, review and analysis of bibliographies and documents, scientific observation, semistructured interview and group techniques.

Results: A proposal of dispensarization is presented, having a generalist approach that classifies women in four dispensarial groups, including pelvic floor deficiencies not taken into account until now.

Conclusions: The proposal for the definition of the dispensarization process with a generalist approach is based on criteria that allow to design diagnostic-therapeutic intervention strategies in middle-aged women with climacteric symptoms from the first level of care, using the basic health team.
